of Faith |
Thirty-three
years ago, my uncle showed me very well made, tweed,
leather-buttoned jacket that he had purchased at a
resale shop for only $15. Having worked in retail
sales prior to that time, I recognized the quality
and bought into a life long hobby of buying beautiful
clothes for a fraction of retail.
During
the years since, I have interviewed many shop owners
and shopped at resale stores in the US and Europe,
praying all the while that someday I would be able
to open a store and give others the opportunity to
obtain well made, classic, clothes frugally. While
taking a 20-year break from being an educator, I kept
the interest even as I raised our two wonderful children,
home schooled them for eight years.
I prayed that, if God would allow
the desire of my heart, this business would be a ministry
of touching lives through upscale resale merchandise.
Without the ministry aspect, this business will never
be what I have envisioned. My goal is to resonate
God's love to women in Ocala, give Him the glory,
and enjoy my interest in sales all the while. I want
to be a true friend to all who enter.

"I first discovered Lina Beth's about a year ago.
I had been hearing about the store, but never took the
time to stop in. My career orientation is such that I
have to dress in an upscale manner. I work in the Internal
Auditing Department of the Marion County School System
and have to meet with school principals and secretaries
on a consistent basis. Today my wardrobe consist mainly
of items that I have purchased from Lina Beths. I am constantly
being complimented on my wardrobe, and I am almost embarrassed
to tell them how inexpensive it is. I have saved considerable
